Wednesday

maja14

today's the night everybody in the world goes out and get wasted.
so i'm staying inside.

it's been exactly three years since my confirmation today (CIVIL ONE NOT IN CHURCH BEEP BEEP) which is kinda... weird. it feels like yesterday, but on the other hand like another life. eh. anyway, i remember i had my dress sewn after some alberta ferretti dress, but when i looked through the collections i didn't find it. well weeell. i think i loved it.

(and oh, can i point out one thing? MY HAIR. my hair looked exactly the same as now! all you 'oh stop copying cory'-people. blah.)

Tuesday

icons

i suppose everybody has style icons, intentional or not, whether it's that girl in you class or mary-kate olsen. when i have to mention celebs i find inspiring, i usually say something like lou dillon, alice glass or chloë sevigny, and well, i do like them. but i think the really interesting people are the ones who don't care at all, about trends i mean. such as oldies, kids, junkies and hookers. i love eccentric old women loaded with jewelry and weird hats, and men in suspenders who look lost on the subway. and kids who obviously got dressed by themselves. apparantly i absolutely wanted to wear my flowery tights with a plaid skirt in kindergarten. oh well.

this is the cutest hobo in barcelona

and the baguette man from normandie

(i'd love to take their picture from the front, but i'm too wimpy)

anna piaggi's style is just... i wonder what's going on in her head. which is a good thing.

natalia vodianova + cute old lady

dries van noten fall 08

loretta lux takes beautiful children pics, though they're very uptight and in some way really freaking me out...

and well... this is obviously put together by some clever stylist, but still kind of cool. it's hard to find good pictures of real hookers. eh.

Monday

yay me

something extraordinairy happened today! i made my own breakfast and it wasn't oatmeal. wohooo. hahaha. i had the day off, so i spent two hours cooking and eating and reading and such. pretty sweet.

Sunday

customize, maybe

i went second hand shopping with mommy casablancas the other day, and i couldn't help buying this rather hideous dress. the question is, when am i gonna wear it?
anyone wanna eh marry me?

Saturday

kiss kiss dance dance

yesterday i ate cupcakes and demolished houses and such.

today i watched sex and the city in bed. period. i tried to move but it hurt too much.
i was supposed to take lots of pictures, but then i figured there were too many other fun things to do, soooo. sorry. oh well. eva rosa took photos on lipstick, they'll be on smuglesning soon i think.

Friday

ææææææ

um... i'm supposed to be somewhere right now, but i haven't gotten dressed and i felt like saying hi... so now you're warned, this is a crappy post. anyway, hi! today was my last exam (or mock exam or whatever you call it) in maths and it was really easy. phew. and tonight it's ANOTHER birthday party (it never ends), and afterwards (if i'll make it) lipstick where ajello is playing. woho! if you don't have plans yet i think you should come. oh i hope they have balloons...

Wednesday

fishy fishy

(from foto decadent)

there's just something about fishnets. i don't wear it that often since they tend to look kinda slutty (OK i always look kinda slutty but with fishnets it get's worse), so i made myself a couple of rules:

drop either heels or mini skirt (or both), cause with all three you'll look straight out of red light district. eh.
and usually you should drop the clevage.

apart from that, go ahead!

i have a hard time giving up the short skirts, so yesterday i cut out the heels instead... (quote eivind: "all you do is post pictures of your legs!" yes i do. deal with it.)

and speaking of slutty, i though this was kinda cute. (from bevel and boss)

if you feel less sloppy, you shold consider wearing something like this (i will when i grow up, stop being trashy and move to paris). pure elegance from ysl aw 03, slightly quirkier from betsey johnson aw 08. (from style.com)
this is why i want red hair

while you're at it, listening to francoise hardy wouldn't be a bad idea either.

and here's the funniest part: in the end of the day you thighs look like this! hahaha!

Tuesday

pink thing

from now on my goal is to use as many ugly photoshop effects as possible. enjoy
i gotta go prepare for tomorrows french exam, aka watch amelie.

Monday

changes, maybe

so ok, fashion. originally this was a fashion blog, but then i started writing more about my life and such and less about fahion, which was ok i guess. but still, fashion is fun too. so now i'm thinking i'll do a combination. i'm a fan of combinations.

today was really sunny, school was short, and i got a new ipod. all is well.

and this is what i want to wear now it's finally warm enough (RANDOM OH YES)

fairytale dresses from betsey johnson ss 08. screw this scandinavian minimalism. blah. tulle and glitter is way funnier.

ok maybe i wouldn't wear it, but this dead ugly suit thing from alexander mcqueen is quite fantastic. and the stockings! those i'd wear any day.

the over-hyped but definitely cute mini-mini dresses from miu miu. you know, just to show off my legs. ehhh. i like the white ones, they sort of balance off the nastyness.

and the sweater dress thing by jeremy scott. obviously. (pics, style.com)

Sunday

la valise

that article made me look awfully widely traveled, with all the 'i bought this thing in barcelona' and the suitcase and eveything. which was kinda random. because actually, i'm holding my tights suitcase! you might know that i don't wear jeans and such (it happens, but usually it feels too, i dunno, ordinary, not that skirts are the most indie thing on the world) so obviously i need a lot of tights. and... this is where i keep them. it used to be my grandfather's and the photographer thought it was cute i guess. so now you know.

oh the drama

well friday night didn't turn out quite like i expected. i met up with a few friends outside of blå, but when we got inside one friend was missing. she was right behind us in the queue, so we though she was just talking to the guard or something, but when she didn't turn up in ten minutes we got kinda worried. so we tried to call her, but she didn't answer, and after a while we went looking for her. trying to fint someone in a big city is sorta hopeless though, so we went back to blå and saw a few bands. which was nice. but we were really worried and kept calling her all the time. after a couple of hours we went home, and decided to call her the next morning. we couldn't really believe that anything dangerous had happened, i mean how do you get kidnapped from a queue full of people??
though the next moring she still didn't answer the phone, so we went to her house across town and knocked on all her doors for ten minutes, and seriously, i was worried to death. but then we look through her bedroom window - AND THERE SHE WAS, SLEEPING. gahh wtf? ******, you are in so much trouble! hah.

saturday i went to yet another birthday party, apparantly there were alot of fucking going on in the summer 18 years ago. anyway, it was really nice, tapas, cuties, and endless amounts of champagne (well, almost), and the weather was perfect so we mostly hung out on the balcony. did i mention that i love spring? i love spring.

and if you missed it, you can read the article from dagbladet here.

Friday

bloggy style?

now i'm done with school work for a while, wonderful.

yesterday i went with jostein to the acne party, which was kinda boring so we left right after the free coktails and just wandered about in the streets/park, and went to this really nice backyard café etc... and i remembered how much i love oslo in the spring. yes, it's spring at last! i'm so happy it's annoying.

also me and six other bloggers are in dagbladet fredag today. apparantly i have one of the most important fashion blogs in the country now! ehhh. i guess i should start to, you know, write about fashion then. eh.
there's alot going on tonight, maybe i'll see you out there somewhere. kisses! (just kidding)

Wednesday

sugar plz

i have that history paper to write, so i'll ditch the blog for a couple of days if you don't mind. luckily i have candy.

and NO, my name's not really casablancas. doh. even i need some privacy.

Tuesday

hello.

oslonights have a new thing going on, where they interview different people from the...ehhh let's say club scene in oslo, every week. and i'm first! read it here. (tonjeee you misspelled my name... hehehe)

coffee plz

last night was great. blonde redhead are total cuties, and have the kind of concerts where i just lean on the fence and close my eyes and think about happy things (interrupted only by some girl screaming 'misery!! misery!!!!' over and over again). mondays arent really suitable for jumping up and down anyway.

going to bed at 2 am has it's price of course, i was sleepwalking in school today. isn't it interesting to read about my school life btw? THOUGHT SO. ok: i had a huge norwegian presentation which went well, they've shut down facebook (scream!), our documentary got a 5 (out of 6), and i hate my history teacher. life would be so sweet right now if i hadn't had a ten pages paper due thursday. blaaahhhh.

Monday

cross my heart, hope to live

i'm in a hurry (as usual these days), so ehhh yeah today's outfit blahblah. lately all i wear is black/white/gray. color gets too complicated when i have so much else on my mind i guess. blonde redhead gig tonight! hooray

Sunday

cute kids belong together

i went with fleurette etc to see naissance des pieuvres yesterday, which was a really beautiful movie, plus i felt smart because i understood everything they said (though the number of lines wasn't really overwhelming.). i guess one week in france pays off after all. afterwards we ditched idioteque (as i learned from the night before that having a cold + going out = bad combo) and went to f's house instead, where we played that post-it game and i got myself a brand new girlfriend. mini! f's dog. it's THE cute and we look fabulous together. (except that molting. that's got to stop.)

SKILLZ

Saturday

psssss

this store is kinda cute. (just like their music.) i want the glitter gun.

Friday

who knew

i made a rather interesting discovery today; fishnets keep you warmer than normal tights! i swear. how weird is that.

i'm in kind of a hurry, all my friends decided to turn 18 on the same day. well well. have a nice friday!

Thursday

through the hoisery

it's nice not to be broke for once. i've been eating out every single day this week, and my legwear shopping has kinda gone out of proportions. haha. apart from boring black tights i got a new pair of white ones, and some fishnets, and in paris i stopped by american apparel and bought those thigh high stripy socks... that i wore at the black lips concert on saturday so now they're really dirty. anyway, the best part: i finally found polkadottet tights! of course money can buy happiness.

apart from that i'm becoming ill and i just posed in high heels on my lawn so the heels got stuck. hard knock life.

Tuesday

la france, part three

paris!!! we mostly wandered about le marais and st. michel and such with vogue bleues and pink limonade. it was wonderful. i found the hotel where i lived three years ago, and we went to litte sidewalk cafés and cute book markets and cool vinyl shops. and omg guess who walked right by us in the street? omahyra! omg omg. omg. wearing slighly more clothes than here though, but still. i think i squealed and i think it was embarrasing. anyway. pics.

first we went to chanel to check out the handbags. they were really nice. i bought five. the lilac one is my fav.

this was all over the city. which kinda says it all.

spirit scans

please don't make me translate it too...

Monday

la france, part two

b/w from the sculpture-garden thing. oh i'm so artsy.

Sunday

la france, part one

i'm back! normandie was crap, but that one day in paris was worth the whole trip. ahhhhh. it's so beautiful there, and everybody are dead stylish. well, almost. why do people live in, say oslo, when you can be in paris?? i'm moving there right after i graduate.
anyway. i took more than 600 pics, and since blogger is a bitch i think i'll take this piece by piece. starting with normadie aka the boring part.

we lived in ville d'eu (which sounds just like 'vil dø' which is norweagian for 'want to die' which is very convenient), the smallest town in france i suppose. everything died at like 7 pm. even the pubs closed. wtf?

we got up at 7 am every day, and i tried to hijack the shitty shower before one of the other 11 girls did, and then we had breakfast and did tourist stuff all day. we went to the cathedral, the castle, the theatre, a glass maker place, a cheese production place, a cider production place, etc etc... i think we did everything there is to do there.

everybody's main interest was food. eh. most used phrase; un pain au chocolat, s'îl vous plait.

french kitsch, hah. nice

there were loads of bus riding

and loads of these hanging around. the inhabitants of eu must be extremely needy.

the only hobo in town. he sat in that same place every day, eating baguettes. france is wonderful.

the cows loved me...

two pairs of glasses of course.

awww we loved this man. he's like mark darcy only french, and owns a huge house with an even bigger garden that he decorates with his own sculptures. and he has a nice chair and a cute cat. so we decided to bring out our inner twelweyearolds and write silly things in his guestbook.

part two up tomorrow!
