my life is in such perfect geographical balance these days! i live and work on the west side, and go to school and socialize on the east side. and last weekend: friday i went to a fancy shop opening with macaroons, moët and over-dressed people in hegdehaugsveien (aka louis vuitton highway). saturday i went to a trashy gallery party and had cheap beer in tøyengata (aka the bronx). and i loved both.

ok, here's the story: this is my friend sylvia, she joined the army this fall. a couple of weeks ago she was home on vacation and invited me over, and after a bottle of cava she said "now you're gonna shave my head". i was like whuut, but i did it and it was quite fun. i feel kind of honoured.

last thursday we went to look at an apartment. friday we came back to look at it again. saturday we made up our minds, sunday we signed the contract, and today we're getting the keys! it's the most beautiful place ever, and ironicly enough it's just 50 meters from where i spent the first years of my life. i'm moving in with two of my absolute favourite people and i'm sure this is going to be great. i'm on my way now to get a bottle of moët we can share in our empty new livingroom.
